Yes, but you still get the usual tax free allowance.

ISTR reading some sort of controversy regarding difficulties proving income and WTC, so you probably can, but it might not be easy.

They're obviously happy to get anyone off their books. It's a win for them as it's a tick in their books.

If OTOH you are referring to continuing to claim JSA, then they won't like it. Plus this would be a bad idea all round.

You would have to work extremely hard to make a living out of it. After all the costs involved. I suspect you would struggle to effectively make minimum wage. It's all sort of a scam IMO, whereby desperate people sell stuff for them, and they make large sums of money while they otherwise sit on their bums, print a catalogue, and buy all the stuff in it for pennies from China. You could possibly also combine it with other things such as Avon, but even then there's all the same problems.

I also believe the catalogues have a price on them, and suspect you have to pay for them. If they come through my letter box they are most likely to be seen as junk mail and go straight in the recycling bin without a second thought. I am sure 99% of other people do the same.
Wanted a job, now have one.

Stay on jobseekers is my only advice to you, you will earn around £20 per week and doing around 50 hours delivering books and collecting them back in. Oh and using your own petrol and wear and tear on the car.

Many people try and fail to even get an order in their first month, many round my area who take on betterware end up packing it in within their first month.

Just to add my 2 cents worth into the mix. I actually DID a Betterware round some years ago. As wantsajob and scooby have alluded to, making money with Bettaware is VERY difficult if not impossible.

Firstly, say you aim to cover an area covering 300 properties. You have to place 300 catalogues and order forms into plastic wallets 300 times. Not to mention any other promotional literature and ales items they want you to deliver.

Secondly, you then have to go round delivering these items.

Thirdly, you have then to collect the catalogues and order forms.

Fourthly, you then have to deliver any ordered item (s).

Sounds like a lot of work, does it not? Especially if like me you had no transport and did it on foot!!! I must have been crazy!!!

Worst still, considering the preparation and effort involved, you got paid just 20p in the pound. Or that was the case when I last did it. So to earn just 100 quid, you will have to make sales of 500!!!

As the previous posters have said, it's just not worth it!
