I won a £400 suit earlier this year (I gave it to my other half), and I'm female...never had a problem with the male/female button.

    Hi all,

Just curious about the stylist/shortlist comps as they are 'sister' publications, one aimed at women and one aimed at men.

I wonder if any women have won anything from Shortlist, and if any men have won anything from Stylist? Both websites ask for gender of entrant - not unusual in itself, but I wondered if they would actually give a prize from a men's magazine to a woman and vice versa.

there's probably no way of knowing - but I don't want to religiously enter shortlist comps if I will never have a chance in the first place!

A male friend of mine recently won a Stylist competition which was an afternoon in London drinking cocktails and a free bottle of Rhubarb cocktail to take home. The competition appeared to be marketed towards women but he was one of the winners.
