I would have no issues buying a second hand dress....in fact I hope to do just that.0

I went to a wedding last year & the bride wore a second-hand dress bought from a cancer charity shop. She looked beautiful, saved a lot of money & hopefully helped others less fortunate that her.0

A few years ago, my daughter bought a beautiful, used, Ian Stuart wedding dress from Ebay. She had tried it on but couldn't afford it new. She looked wonderful in it so I searched Ebay and found it for £800, in perfectly good condition.
That way she could splash out on other things for the wedding. She loved it so much that she still has it at home.0 -
mine was vintage pre loved, and as we were on ridiculous budget it was fine, if you feel funny about wearing it, just think youd pay arma nd leg to hire one, this way you can keep forever and if clever use it to make other things too x:A :j0

If you're near London or Shropshire, have a look at "Brides by Appointment" - not second-hand dresses but ends of lines and samples and the money goes to help Barnado's in their good work.0

My wedding dress was second hand, brought from Oxfam, no one noticed and cost me a fraction of the cost of a new one0

I would have no qualms about wearing a second-hand wedding gown. I would however have a serious problem with a pre-owned enagagement / wedding ring, esp if it's previous owner had an unhappy marriage. (Think Kate and Diana). If you're near London or Shropshire, have a look at "Brides by Appointment" - not second-hand dresses but ends of lines and samples and the money goes to help Barnado's in their good work.
Brilliant suggestion - the E18 branch is nearby me but I had no idea that it was connected to Barnados. (V close to Sth Woodford tube station, and about 20mins from Liverpool St on the Central Line if anyone is interested).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

My dress was the sample dress from a bridal shop, the price for it to be made £1000 the price i paid for the sample dress that had been tried on £300, it was beautiful!
Try asking a few shops if they are getting rid of any sample dresses or to let you know when they do.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0
