Amazon Mp3 store like a !!!!!! Emery comedy of error

DCFC79 Gave us a head-up on a 25% one time use mp3 promotional code if you sign up to their weekly mp3 newsletter. (received a code by email)

Today I tried to buy an album and the code didn't work, online chat had to pass on my enquiry to gord knows whom. Two incoherent voicemails later and an explanation (email) of how to enter the code, when I clearly said the code wouldn't work.
In the end they emailed to say they would give me a 25% credit once I bought the album, so I did but weirdly the final email invoice price was 25% lower. (I checked out without any code as it wouldn't accept it as error)

???????? Gord knows what is going on with Amazon!
