Crocs are rubber or plastic sandals.

They have unaccountably become modish among grown-ups with more money than sense, but they are suitable for children so that price is good. They normally cost £29, for grown-ups, £20 for children.

    There are cheaper alternatives around.

Additions direct have them in stock £20 for children, £29 adults. There is £3.50 postage on top, but there is a discount code to get £15 off your first order. See discount forum.

I think you'll find its comfort rather than style that has made them "modish" :)

Thanks for this, just been down to my local one and they are flying off the shelves. Lady on the til even knew the code to enter for them without having to scan. :D They had them in pink, baby blue, navy blue and gold.

  • Just got back from Oldham Costco. They only had one pair of pink ones left. Navy Blue seemed the most unpopular colour. Really good price as I saw them in a shoe shop in Stockport (Jakes) for £19.99 in the week.

Hate to disappoint you but they are neither rubber nor plastic - they are made from a resin & as Edinburghlass kindly pointed out - they are definitely popular due to the comfort - I talk from experience having very few shoes I can buy & be completely comfortable in due to feet, leg & back problems :D

  • If anyone is hopping over to France soon, you should be able to find them in the Carrefour supermarkets although they are imitations. They are howver identical to original Crocs apart from that they do not have the Crocs logo on them. We have just returned from Malaysia and found them in the Kuala Lumpur branch of Carrefour for less than 80p per pair both adults and childrens although I suspect they'll be slightly higher in cost in Europe. Hope this helps.

And if you want to go all out and personalise them - don't forget your Jibbitz!

I saw the lady who invented the jibbitz on telly...lovely story and she went on to sell the business to Crocs for $20 million dollars!
