Has anyone ever completed the LICENTIATESHIP OF THE CITY AND GUILDS INSTITUTE?
It is offered as CPD and training on one of the jobs I am looking at but as even THE CITY AND GUILDS INSTITUTE own website does not really say what it is, I am at a bit of loss if it is useful or not.

I have read that but I am still not sure how useful it is.
There is no harm in more paper for the folder.:beer:0 -
[STRIKE]Just a job full stop would be even more useful at the moment. Why jump ahead before you have even started? Why not spend all your "spare" time looking for an actual job rather than.....[/STRIKE]
Oh I can`t be bothered :silenced:
Because I need to know about the training as it might come up at interview.:beer:0 -
I believe you qualify by experience rather than training.0

It is meant to be a year of completing training projects related to your work and you get this LCGI if you successfully complete it.:beer:0 -
The projects should be real work, not just simulation undertaken for the sake of training.0

It is called work related training on the job info.
It looks like the tasks you do are directly related to your work.
Whilst it is a qualification of below degree level, who is going to turn down a paid for 600 quid course?:beer:0 -
Yoohoo Glad - where are you?

If the projects you do aren't actually required for your job, then I'd turn down a £600 course if the qualification itself wasn't worth the effort involved in getting it. That's no comment on the value of the course/qualification you are referring to but is just an answer to the hypothetical question.
Now, Phil . . . what's happening with your rate of job applications? What's your target number of submitted applications per week?0
