I used to take a salad type thing (but dont like tomato or cucumber so left that out). Shreaded lettuce, grated carrot, chopped spring onion, sweetcorn, grated cheese, cold pasta, cold new potatoes, cold meats or fish. All chopped up and put in tupperware dish and tossed about. Usually the left overs from BBQ's etc.0

Hi,
i sometimes make pasta salad as a packed lunch
Some pasta shapes cold, sweetcorn, onions (or spring onions), peppers, chedder cheese, cucumber, chick pea's, olives, ham and anything else you fancy.
I bring the dressing in a little bottle and pour it over just before I eat it.Good Enough Club member number 220 -
I like pasta, feta and chopped tomato (or even better is sundried tomato if I'm feeling a bit richer!)
I also eat pasta and pesto cold, I make it like the M+S one and mix in some chopped raw baby spinach and some pinenuts0 -
pasta salad works well with oil and vinegar/lemon juice dressing as a change from mayo - if you really love the taste then add the dressing when the pasta is still hot (but add other salad ingredients later or they will get very soggy!)
Other ingredients can vary as much as your time and purse allow - fresh chopped herbs alone can be good or add all your favourite salad veggies chopped or grated (lettuce is better left out unless it is cos or iceberg because dressing makes the leaves very soggy) cheese, leftovers etc0 -
Make sure you put some oil or butter on your pasta before you let it go cold or it all sticks together.:beer:0

Diced and sauteed peppers tosse into the pasta and then let it all cool down.
Or diced chicken even.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
add any cold pasta that u have saved to a tin of soup heated of course tho...lol
bulks it up an if your on a rushed day an dont have time to cook a full meal its really filling i find the veg i dont use from the night before goes well with it to like carrots peas an sweetcornWhich came first the chicken or the egg....suppose it depends on which one is mispriced...i know not funny0 -
Spice up normal mayo with a teaspoon of mustard and have with leftover chicken and tinned sweetcorn (I like the niblets with pepper already in them). If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

my favourite pasta salad is one where you mix the cold pasta with chopped cooked chicken (small amount of leftover chicken goes a long way), some fresh herbs, lots of black pepper, some mayo and a chopped orange. Yummy!0

I think pasta with tomato sauce is nice cold, either on its own or with whatever veg it was cooked with. It's nice with black olives and capers too.
Creamy sauce works well cold too, with mushrooms.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
