Has anyone tried these and if so are they easy to get used to ? I have been wearing lenses for 35 years but am now struggling to both read and see distance with lenses in.My optician has adjusted strengths as best she can to help but am now considering changing to vari/bifocal lenses.Any help would be appreciated.

I never wore contacts before I've had varifocal specs for years. I recently wanted a varifocal lens trial, first ones i couldn't see a thing, i waited another 2 weeks for some different ones, everything again was a complete blur, even with same prescription. i would say give it a go, especially if you're used to lenses. my feeling is its just a gimmick, when you move your eyes your lens goes with it, unlike glasses when you move your head up and down to get things into focus, not sure how they can possible work.

I have trialed them on two separate occasions and failed miserably both times. I am a long time user of contact lenses but only seem to be able to wear varifocal contact lenses for less hours during the day. They just seem to make my eyes really sore.:dance:Sometimes I sing and dance around the house in my underwear. Doesn't make me Madonna. Never will. :dance:0

I was considering them last year, but the optometrist advised me against them in my case0

Do what I done - had mono lenses - one for far and one for near sight. Works really well0

I also have monovision lenses. Had no problem getting used to them, and although it seems weird, it works.0
