Tick boxes

I was just wondering if not ticking the boxes to receive emails on the competitons etc makes any difference to your entry? do you think they would discard any entires where they have ticked all the boxes so as not to receive any mails from them or there partners.

just a thought i had whilst comping away so i dont know whether to tick them or risk getting loads of emails?

Personally I normally say no to third party emails but take the ones from the Company running the competition. You can get some great offers from them in future mailings and I have bought things from them. I think a lot of people confuse Marketing with SPAM. Marketing is why Companies run competitions after all. Just be careful to read the box requirements, some of them aren't written in the clearest way.
