I know you cannot answer as it is my decision, but your input might help
I started a new job last Monday, pay is not brilliant, but its 16 hours and local, not really a taxing job, but i like the girl i am working with
on Thurs i got a letter to invite me for an interview at a school, its not term term mind, its a bit more money about £1.30 an hour more, its 25 hours (i assume school hours) and not as local, but it is in a field i think i will find a bit more interessting.
Now i have 2 small girls (7 and almost 5) so would love a school job, but term time. also i am not sure i would be that much better off taking the school one as i would be paying tax and NI and i would loose out in some tax credits too so financially its not that much of a better option (stupid i know)
The other thing is the one i am working for is less hours i only work 9 - 1pm 4 days a week so getting someone to look after them is easier during hols etc
there are so many pros and cons i am in a dilema
what would you do ?

Go for your interview first. You may not get the job! It will also give you a chance to see what you think of the place.
You don't have to take it evn if you get it, but the interview should help you to make up your mind.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
If you like the girl you're working with ...
... and you've been out of the job world for a while ...
... and your current job makes it reasonably simple to arrange childcare ...
then if I were you I would stay put for the moment!
But I hate change, and being happy at work always counts for a lot for me.
Having said that, I might go for the interview too, just for the practice.Signature removed for peace of mind0
