Great news, N.Ireland is supposed to be starting postgrad loans from 17-18.

    So updates with me.

Bells Palsy is a nightmare with eye, the steroids are pretty tough, seem to be giving me some kind of weird anxiety, 12 a day. Another week to go. ENT referral, taking next week off work if doctor will sign me off.

This month plan is to get £500 into my savings account as starter emergency fund, paid tomorrow so another 400 going in them, set up flexi savings account online and put 100 in.

Monthly budget set up on everydollar, going to order tesco delivery (done!)

Mailing estate agent tomorrow, mortgage broker coming back with offer in principal this week. I'm a bit concerned about my health tbh, taking six months off masters, I cant do masters and full time right now and get better,

I'm not looking pity folks, just another step on the journey. I want to get really intense on the emergency found and clearing remaining debts.

  • £500 in emergency fund.

    Hsbc card now - 470
    Marbles 1900
    OD 1050
  • Second viewing of house later in week which is a bit mad, emailed mortgage broker so he should be doing me the figures before the viewing.

All seems totally nuts. ENT ringing me tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the last day of the 12 steroids, I start to taper after that. Thank god.

  • Spoke to mortgage advisor, got offered residential mortgage with Halifax, going to look at a house today with partner, cash buyer has put in a low bid so may be still some hope.

ENT appointment next Wednesday for my face, 2 more days of steroids (they are totally crazy).

I've put 600 in emergency savings fund for valuation fees etc, so no adding to credit card debt. I've decided to leave masters until september so thats one less bill too.

Very mixed bag atm. Feel on one level like im getting somewhere and on another level like things are going a bit mad, the roids aren't helping mental clarity either. lol

Plan is to pay off HSBC next month if nothing happens with house.
  • Put in bid for house, no word yet from EA from Thursday, no news is good news imo.

Ended up in doctors again as nerve pain from Bell's Palsy went mental over weekend. He has signed me off for two weeks as well. All suck a melt.
  • Back again folks.

Bells Palsy still here, eye a bit better but mouth still not functional, cant smile etc. Started acupuncture for it this week, it's a very odd sensation having needles pushed into you! Been off work, but hopefully going back soon, I oddly miss the routine but just worried about being able for it, if its not this week, it'll be next week I'm back.

Oh after bidding offer of 92k accepted for house, although as its a repo, this still has to be accepted by bank, so waiting on that. I've DIP for the mortgage but still nervous about something going wrong at this stage! I'll relax once I get handed the keys or a least at least a proper offer for the mortgage!
Really nervous as getting the house would be a total life changing event and something I've been working towards for years. It's a semi rural area too, so real change in life direction.

Just making minimum payments to credit cards this month and just stacking up cash with house in background. as I have a survey to pay want to make sure I'm backrolling that stuff and credit cards stay unmolested!

I'm really hoping a break is coming, past few years they have been few and far between!

Prayers, nice thoughts and fingers crossed for me would be much appreciated!
