A Question on Freezing and then using

Hello all,
I feel daft asking this,
but I'm sure you won't mind and it would put my mind at rest.
I have some meat pies, bought fresh from the fridges not frozen.
Not Whoopsie and well within their date when I bought them
I didn't use them and froze them well before their Use By date.
Packaging says 'suitable for freezing, freeze on day of purchase and use within one month', the usual instructions.
I do know that its okay not to freeze on day of purchase btw, the pies are not that clever.
My question is, they are now frozen (you can cook from frozen) with a Use By date of 28th September.
I take it that as long as they stay frozen they will be fine until the 28th October (going strictly by the packaging), and quite possibly for months after?
As I say, I do know the answer, I'm certain, it says so on the packet :rotfl: I would just appreciate your opinion.
Thank you.

I would use them much, MUCH later than the 28th of October. The quality may decrease (freezer burn, loss of flavour) but the food will still be perfectly safe if it stays frozen the whole time...Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

only one month in freezer? I am sure that I cooked a large kate and sidney pie which had been in the freezer since last winter a few weeks back - I 'found' it when defrosting the freezer!
It was absolutely fine!0 -
Thank you all
I was sure it was okay, but sometimes you just need a little reassurance. :T0 -
Anything you put in the freezer will keep for more than month...:)Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
