Today was a great day for me...
I stockpiled all my savings and decided to pay off my remaining credit card... Am feeling a bit wobbly as emotionally I felt a little more secure having cash in the bank 'just in case'... I had to use the last of the money left to me by my Nan when she died... so thanks Nan for helping me get back on my feet...
However - I now still have my credit card (£500 limit) for absolute emergencies, which means I do have some security until I can top up my Emergency Fund again. Once I reach £500 I will cut up the card and close the account. At least Capital One are not charging me 23% interest anymore!!! My remaining debts are all 0% interest, so clearing this one takes the pressure off a little. Am going to padlock the card away somewhere safe, or freeze it in a lump of ice!!!
So - assuming I don't put anything back on the card, I have achieved my target!!!
£850/£850 paid!!!
I will do a final check in nearer the time - just to be sure it has stayed at that!!!
Keep up the fantastic work everyone!!! You're all doing amazing work!!!
