Considering that winter will only have 10 days in 2012, the question "will you be putting your prices up this winter?" is completely different to "will you be putting your prices up this year?"...

I am considering changing my gas and electricity supplier from E-On to First Utility and fixing my tariff until March 2014. Does anyone have any opinions on the reliability of First Utility? I have read some mixed reviews about them, possibly because they are not one of the larger suppliers so maybe have more demand than they can cope with at present. I am also puzzled as to why there is such a variation in the gas and electricity standing charges levied by some suppliers. First Utility's standing charges are much lower than E-On's which makes E-On's billing much more expensive. Their various discounts do not really help here since the result is still more expensive

Two of the largest Dutch energy suppliers have just announced they will be reducing their prices as the global gas price is quite low at the moment. But I'm sure the UK suppliers know exactly what they're doing.
