Using more than one email for comping... wish to merge into one

Hi there!
I have been comping for about 1.5 months now. I set up two email addresses. One for when I need to sign up for newsletters/register and the other for comps which are less likely to produce spam.
I want to merge the two into the one email address which I use the most, but I'm wondering if when I register that email address with all my details to the more common competitions sites (ie. moviecomps, T3, ukgreatcompetitions, etc), would I possibly be disqualifying myself from comps by having two email addresses set up on the same site? I think I may have overcomplicated things by having two email addresses so I want to go down to one.
Does anyone else use more than one email address for comping and still manage to win things? I enter around 50 a day and have yet to win anything... even a keyring would be nice
Thank you!

Just set up a Gmail email account & set a forward to it from both of the other accounts,
All the emails should transfer over plus its one place to check them all.
In the end I think it matters little what account you actually enter with.If you are the winner you'll get the prize :-)
I would say that it is best not to enter the same comp via two email addys unless it is allowed by the promotor.0 -
When I started I used an old gmail account and some time later on, in a fit of superstition at not winning very much, started afresh with a whole new one! Did as weeowens above says and set up a forward so all my mail from the old one comes through to the new one, all I have to do is check the spam folder a couple of times a week as it stays where it is. I had used the old address to register for many websites and keep them going, any new ones I use the new address. I have my laptop set to remember usernames and passwords etc but if can be a bit of a pain if it seems to forget and i have to try with a couple of email addresses to see if I have already registered before launching a whole new account but generally it has not been a problem.
Oh, the only other thing is when I get WEMs through from the old account (not very often, in fact I think it has only happpened the once!), I tend to make sure I reply from the right address so they don't think something funny is going on.0 -
Thank you both for your help! I kind of gave up on the comping life for a day unsure of what to do about it. I think I am going to pass on the gmail account as that would mean having a third email set up for comping when I wish I could just have one. I will use my primary yahoo comp email from now on and just enter comps with the old email address when I come across comps from sites I already registered with that old email address
Thanks again.0 -
I would do what you just said, but also when you access sites where the 'wrong' email address is registered, it's probably worth editing your registered email address. Bit of a pain, but after a while your old email address should become naturally redundant. Also unsubscribe from junk emails to the one you want to drop.I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.0 -
That's a great idea. Thank you blulu. I will do that. I'm determined to beat this losing streak and win something fab!0
