in Cutting tax
Been looking at my payslips, and stuff and i was wondering. Are my NI contributions paid out based on my full salary or does my pension reduce the amount it is based on(like tax). Thanks
Edit nevermind i worked it out. you get a 1.6% reduction in your NICs...

bizarre really.. NI is based on fully salary before pension unlike tax but you get a NI reduction of 1.6%.. doesn't make a lot of sense0

You get a 1.6% reduction in NICs only if you are contracted out of S2P. This means that you will not build up any State Second Pension entitlement for any year which you are contracted out. Your Basic State Pension is unaffected.Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0
