Scottish Trust Deed

Hi

My husband and I signed up to a Scottish Trust deed last August, we have been told that we will be able to buy ourselves out after a year ( a family member is going to help us out). Has anyone done this and how have they gone about rebuilding their credit rating?

We own a house in another town that my mother lives in, we are still struggling with all our payments and it's looking like we will have to sell our house (we live in a seperate house but still pay rent) and make my mother homeless. We have applied to the local council for housing benefit but have been refused and we are currently appealing. Has anyone else tried this??

You basically dont repair your credit rating as such.
Usually in a trust deed everything would show on your file & then fall off so to speak after 6 years.
Your situation is unusual so sorry cant help.
