Thanking twice?

Hello, hope youre all having a lovely weekend:D
Ive noticed that for the last hour or so whenever i try to thank someone 2 thanks come up? Example if they already have 30 thanks when i do it it justs up by 2 to 32? Never noticed that before. Is it happening to anyone else?

It just means someone else has thanked since you opened the page.

The thanks jumps to the new number in 'real time' so if you open a page and it has say 10 thanks, if you leave the page open and thank it a few hours later, it might jump to 210!

Its stopped now but that wasnt quite what was happening, on each thanks i gave over about the hour it kept going up by 2, i dont leave my thanks until ive done the comp but on all of them it was going up in 2s, doesnt matter now its stopped, but thanks anyway:)

IMO, apart from thanks where they are due, the thanks system is a good idea as it indicates which members are more trusted in this community (especially when posting comps). When I was new, I tended to only click links posted by people with a certain amount of thanks, or waited 'till a comp was verified by someone with good standing.
