  • I've got one box of stock cleaned and photographed and I'm about to start listing it. If it all sells at the clearance price, it'll bring in £270.
  • Hundreds make thousands though, that's what i tell myself when I take on the little jobs! Or it pays a tank of fuel for the month. Had a couple of big bills in this month already. Delaying my plans but ahwell out of my hands

  • Exactly :) Every pound in the bank is another pound to reinvest back into the business.
  • Unexpected bills just mounting up this month, most pennies hitting the bank are coming back out again!! Will be glad to see the back of this month and next, looking forward to Xmas. It's got to a point I'm reporting a trade to trading standards. Don't want to say too much about it but I think I will inform the local paper of it aswel.

Anyway soon be finished at my contract job and away to my own job at 5 o'clock. Will hit my £200 gross target today.

Interesting challenge. Count me in. I run a little cleaning company, I employ three people part-time. I'll think about a goul and I'll let know later.
  • Ok,even with no goal, still join in and see what can be achieved. Well over my target today. Wont always be this way but great way to start the challenge!! No money hits my account until Friday....but bring it on, the pennies can start making pounds....and lots of them!!

Not long home from work, fed, showered, hitting the sack. Think i may have a few weeks of the nighshift lifestyle, going to sleep as soon as im home then getting up when i waken, so if i need to sleep until my alarm i can, if not i can get up and have time to enjoy brekkie and search the forums/do any paperwork i need to, early hours so noone else is on the go disturbing me.

Anyone else love the peace and quiet 5am brings?! Or am i just weird ;)

  • Sounds like an interesting challenge - I was considering doing the same even before I read this thread although my target was £250 and I was going to start after Christmas (2 really bad months ahead AND a trip to Vegas booked for Nov 8th so money is really tight at the mo)

That said I am deffo up for the challenge. I think I will start slowly between now and Christmas and aim for £100 per day banked and then see if I can up it after Xmas.
  • Welcome to the thread, what a great username, when is payday again? Well I was going to wait aswel but thought what the heck why put it off, so started yesterday. Also managed to get off to a flyer. Made £215 gross gti job. £200 net from my overtime in the evening and took on another job starting end of this month for £2200 net.... So roll on Xmas, even with the cold I should be well underway!! Good luck all joining. Lets make it a year to remember!

My first things will be to:

Find stuff that can be sold on eBay or Facebook selling sites.
Take half the money and put away for extras - use the 2nd half to either buy more stock, or put towards training for my job, or use to enhance our side project - website.
Already have a USP - I tutor primarily special needs students

I too am in on this...I work full time as an employee of a company, however do freelancing for myself as well in the same field (internet marketing)!

Things are going fantastically on my own, picking up a range of freelance clients regularly and everything's mounting up...as a matter of fact, I've been earning more freelancing as I do being employed, however employment is guaranteed and pays the bills!

Look forward to hearing how everyone progresses.
