I taped the TV programe as it was a weekly comp with questions about wine afterwards! Postman brought it 2 days later and knew what it was as he had heard my name on the TV.
Won a bottle of whisky from The Sunday Mail too a few weeks later but didn't bother with comps much again until 3 years ago when I got the internet.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Becks - My Sister does about 20 entries a day a few days a week and moans all the time that she never wins but this is her third win on the dailies in about 3 months so that's not bad going really. She complains bitterly when she stays at our that we are always sitting at the computer and that we take it too seriously etc etc. Maybe she might put a bit more effort into it now.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

talking of wins i remember back in the 80's i'd won a large amount of a popular canned drink & where i lived at the time had no storage room for them all
ended up giving them away to all & sundry on the street:rotfl:

It's great how we remember our first wins
it gives you a real buzz when you do win something no matter what it is! I know I mentioned this before but my first win was when I was about 11 and mam sent me for some spuds, there was a comp to win an 'eat to the beat' tape but the first prize was something big (can't remember what) and I ended up getting about 6 tapes sent. Kept one but gave the rest away!
Fire**fly, I found two mags where I posted pics of my DD and my DH the other day. It's nice to put them away!
Well done to your sis Sylvia! :T great winI guess Lottie's poop was lucky for her!
ILC, jasper is quite big now, almost as big as Sue's dog! I hope he stops growing as he is getting too big to carry up to stairs for a bath! He just lays on his back thinking I won't carry him up!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Firefly - so glad Sister won something as it might shut her up nagging me for doing them lol
Don't know if anyone else is the same but when you win something that you really wanted do you go around suddenly chuckling to yourself all day, thats what we do and funnily enough thats what my Sister has been doing all day.

Have you ever been on a real downer and then suddenly you get a win that gives you that lift? Always makes me think someone is smiling down on me when that happensBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
It is so nice to win something that you really had your eye on! Doesn't happen that often but has happened a few times to me - all things I wanted for other peeps.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
