Good luck if you are entering The Times comp today. No point for me as no access to SKY in our block (to fet a dis we have to have a communal one and more than half of the flats to sign up to it to get the dish free)

Going to have a house full of men shortly. My dad, hubby, hubbys dad and one of my friends are all descending to watch the football at lunchtime. Beer and sandwiches provided courtesy of me

You could always enter for one of your parents if they don't have Sky and keep the telly if they won!
Think I would be clearing out today if I were you.:D

Hi Everyone, hope you are all OK.

We have about 3" of snow again and its still coming down. Was going to travel down to DD's but we are sitting it out at the moment to see what the weather is like.

Indie - wish I could get that up to date I am struggling to keep up with the end date comps at the moment but do lots at the front end of the board so hopefully will catch up in the middle somewhere.

Firefly - have you got snow? If so be careful feeding the animals and birds.

Sheils - I would go ahead and book an extra night for your birthday if I were you. When is your birthday by the way?

Becks - looks like you are going to be busy this afternoon feeding all the hungry men. Bet you wish you were at work.

Wingo - presume you have snow too?

Dreams - hope you get your computer sorted soon.

Morning all Just been catching up with all your news in here.

Feeling a bit "Wabbit" (tired, washed out for the non Scots ) since last night, think I might have picked up GD's cold the other day

Hope it goes though as heading to Ayrshire tomorrow for overnight at my son's - looking after the adorable 2 year old GD on Monday as her other Gran is away, so will need all my energy

Gosh snow again Sylvia - you must be really fed up of it. My birthday is 6th March but we are going away on Sunday 3rd. Have booked a £19 Premier Inn at Lancaster - 3rd year running so will become an annual event now probably! Mother's Day is on the 10th so will have a busy time that week. If DS is definately working on the Mon and Tues we will book another night somewhere. Can't think of anything I want so DH can pay for the break instead of a prezzy. Hope you manage to get away OK.

With the Sky comp - what happens if you already have Sky? I wouldn't have anyone who would want it so I've not entered. Though I could do with a new TV.

hi sylv :wave: no, no snow here, we had a sprinkling last night
but none since, was out earlier & it wasn't to bad but temperature is dropping very quickly now :eek:

Sheils, I would add another night if I was you your kids are fairly grown up now so you deserve a break!

Imagine if you had sky in Becks, you would always have a house full watching football! my parents have sky and always got football on! When I used to go to matches when I lived at home they hated football and wouldn't ever watch it! Now they can't get enough of it!
Would like to win sky though as hubby says we can't afford it! (I suppose I better go enter it!)

Off to parents for a bit then coming back to this minefield I call home!
Postie brought a cheque what I've been waiting for from currys cash back thingy when I bought DD's blackberry playbook. I thought they werent going to send it as you had to take a pic of receipt, it had to be certain size etc...such a mess about....but I thought I was only getting £10 back but got £20
