That would have been very kind of you FF. :) Often think if some of us lived near each other we could swap book wins, make-up etc.

Hi peeps!! Oh my goodness, I am running so late!!!! :o

:j:j:j Well done on all the wonderful wins you lot!!!! And big hugs to wingo, loved that post. :A

Anyone who won a hamper ........ I'm coming round to yours for dinner!!! I'm easily pleased, so no worries!!!! :D:rotfl:

FF, hope your cold improves soon :A Get stuck into yon curry, that will shift it!! :D

Been fairly busy today, walked earlier to village to buy milk, paper and a few bits and bobs including some sweetcorn for tomorrow's dinner. Will be cooking a lovely cheese souffle with sweetcorn, toms and onions, herbs as a base, then topped with cheddar cheese souffle. It's very scrumptious. Tonight I am having home baked veg lasagne with salad and wee bit of garlic bread. So it's been a cooking day plus neighbours popping round and plus tinkering with my wee car :D

Sheils, have a lovely time away. Is it Stirling Castle you are visiting? Beautiful place, they lay claim to having discovered the oldest football in the world - 500 years old!! It was found behind panels in the Queen's chamber, which was decorated in the 1540s. Could be older tho!!

Love facts like this. Sort of thing I store in the grey matter and now and again they surface!!!!. The castle is also haunted, so watch your back :eek: :D :rotfl:

Love to all and take care. Be back soon, just got to check on dins and puddy cat!! xxxxx

I set up an email to enter competitions with, called 'petescomps@btinternet.com' (That's not the actual email address, i've changed the first name, for identity purposes or whatever)

I don't know why it would, but would having an email address with 'comps' in it affect my chances of winning at all? For example will they think i'm a serial comp enterer and pick someone else?

that's a ridiculous question, I dont know why i asked.

  • Spent ages tonight re-reading old, old, emails.

What a load of emotions that stirs up; some are funny, some made me cringe, some even brought a tear to my eye ...

Makes me wonder where the time went.

I love looking through old emails too and old letters. My sis used to live in Germany & then Cyprus so looking back on all the letters is emotional :)

Hi FiftyPents, this was mentioned a while back somewhere about silly email addresses and with the words comp and win in it. I'm sure someone advised then not to include words that might suggest you're just in it for competitions as it could decrease your chances. Ive always had a silly email address since I learned to use computers! :o I was told to change it on my cv mind! :D

When do you go away Sheils? That looks lovely where you're staying. :) your meal sounded delicious! I wish my DH was a chef!
