Been raining here all night but hopefully drying up now - ever the optimist!

Must get some things in Blackpool tomorrow. DH has been busy planning an excursion into the Lakes for the way home which involves visiting Grange over Sands to buy his favourite pies from the award winning butcher there! We are trying to visit all the main lakes and have managed about half so far.

Have fun!!! Kendal mint cake?

I love Blackpool (3 Piers, Pleasure Beach, Tower, Sandcastle, Stanley Park, Trams, Illuminations, Chips in gravy, Fleetwod, (+ trip to Isle Of Man) St. Annes etc.) I saw the price is right there. Great place for excursions. (I walked down Coronation Street!)
I lived there for a year in the 80's and the winter/low season can be rough seas/windy and deserted!

I've had afternoon tea in Grange-over-Sands, Boat ride on one of the peaceful lakes.

Gretna Green, Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh I liked.

morning its my dads bday today so off out for carvery lunch
my kids grandparents live near stranraer shiels in the middle of nowhere
ive had both the dailies prizes i won at begin of month arrive in a fortnight quite quick i thought
have done school run gonna go put something warmer on just grabbed first thing i could find
fingers crossed folks for a last gasp win to sneak in november
