I was hardworking once :rotfl:. Until 2010 was the local community midwife doing home births as well as all of the above. Have to say life is a breeze now compared to that, but I do miss it!
fire**fly have won many things from your posts, & hope you and Mr fire**fly enjoy many a win xx
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

My grandson is adorable too and so loving and kind. It is a very good job that you seem to be doing. Hope you have lots of wins soon, you sure deserve them.

  • evening all,had a busy night comping andon facebook but since about 6.30 tonight I have been trying to locate a strange electronic noise in my living room, I have turned the tv on and off, moved my clocks out of the room, checked my pc, dvd drive internet connection on and off, checked the air freshener dispenser in the bathroom, looked at the windows seal for wind drafts sounds and checked my cooker and microwave even looked under the sofa I have just realised at nearly 10.30 this noise I am looking for is a little whistle in my nose!!! Thats why its been following me around!! Any one else had a less productive evening ha ha!

What is sleep? :D Sleep was limited to 30 minute bursts as DS has ADHD along with autism, he has to sleep in with me as one night helped himself to front door keys, let himself out and I was woken at 1am to hear him in street calling for his best friend totally stark naked.
He's been on sleeping meds for about 4 yrs (but I have a row for only giving them on school nights!), I get at least 3 hours unbroken sleep now, then an hour to rub his hair to send him back off to sleep then probably another 2 hours unbroken. Given the first 5 years of barely sleeping at all I consider myself fortunate, a I know many others go through far worse.
But he has taught me so much I was an impatient, insufferable, rush to do everything now sort of person, now I just think bu**er it, my house is falling down around my ears but he's happy. Although I do tend to get a little wound up now and again, go and draw on the table means just that my kitchen table is ruined :rotfl::rotfl:. Everything is so literal!

I searched for a strange whistling noise in my bedroom for ages one night before realising it was coming from my sleeping DH's nose!
