    Hi everyone,
Just popped in after entering the Times Comp in my free WIFI half hour at Premier Inn - should manage the 5pm too. (I know a bit sad!) Good Luck to you all.
Had a brilliant day in the Lakes and a great lunch. Just relaxing now before heading off to The Proclaimers.
    See you tomorrow.

In relation to the 2 minutes silence I was at the checkout in Tesco when it hit! All of us observed it apart from the employee at the next till who continued as normal even though it had been announced on tannoy that it would be observed by the staff. Even when my till operator quietly called over and raised finger to lips she continued & said it didn't affect her!
On a lighter note this evening my 9 yr old just came down having decided to use a razor and shave both his chin & eyebrows! Razor burn everywhere & have just hidden all razors!!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I am sure Tesco supervisors/managers would have noticed her and hopefully she will get a disclipinary for it. None of our staff would dare carry on with ouranager watchinh.

Omg Becky! Hope your son is ok! Starting early eh! :D
Yeah you always get one who has no respect. The one who fire**fly was referring to was moaning about losing their post which took them ten mins to write apparently! Clearly if he/she any respect at all they would have realised there will always be a 2 mins silence at 11am in remembrance on this day wherever!

Enjoy Sheils! Glad you managed to get a times comp in! ;)

You trying to torment me I luv cats?
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

TBH I don't think many youngsters appreciate the signifigance of today. For me both my grandfathers were involved on the frontline, my gran worked at the local ammunitions factory in what is now our lovely Country Park! My great-gran lost 4 of her 5 sons & her husband, her only daughter being my gran. My great gran was the local washer woman who tried to make ends meet & lived to the ripe old age of 92 her last few years at home with my family, even though I was 7 when she passed I remember her vividly.
When I try to explain it to my 2 its a case of and............? Today's generation seem to lack sentiment and humility and a case of humbleness!

Wingo I could do nothing other than laugh! Dad has a monobrow which looks like a rather furry caterpillar has landed on his forehead! Apparently DS does not want same, but now looks like he's been tortured!

    /QUOTE]

I used to despair at his antics now it's just a case of "oh well", it is like living with a permanent toddler but such is life!
Every time we try to rectify his mistakes he gets worse! Carpet going down next week so was in the middle of painting hall & landing he sneaked chisel upstairs and gouged my bedroom walls so that now needs redoing. It's a case of 1 step forward and 45 backwards :rotfl:
    Would I change him? NO
