boils - random question

i regularly get boils on either my neck or behind my ears. My health is pretty ok so I am not concerned in that regard but are they (ahem - choke) caused by dirt or blocked pores?! My personal hygiene is very good so why do I keep getting them!?

I suggest you talk to your GP. Recurrent boils can be a sign of diabetes, might be worth getting your blood sugar checked.

We can't give medical advice on here but I will say that you should see your GP.

Acne is a medical condition, same as boils.

  • the main cause of having boils in your body due to existence of germs and bacterial substances in your body and it cause the boils kind painful swollen area on the skin caused by an accumulation of pus and dead tissue.and it close the body pores in the body.so safe from it you should be clean your skin by the uses of anti-bacterial or anti-septic soap regularly specially this kind of effected persons.

I thought these antiseptic soaps and body washes stripped your bodies' flora and fauna and thus did more harm than good?
I would see your GP so that they can be checked out x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • I've heard that you can be prone to boils if you've been on anti-biotics. Also I've been told it can be a lack of vitamin B. But as everyone says, go to the doc.
