Changing shifts - notice?

I'm contracted to do 8 hours one day a week (for a specific time), and have been doing an additional shift one other day a week.

I was phoned today (10 minutes ago) to inform me I've to start and finish later (4 hours difference) for tomorrow. And since I cannot do it, I've to phone the manager tomorrow, after my contracted shift has to start.

We normally get given our rota's every few weeks on a Friday, but I have been picking them up when I'm in on the Saturday (since the hours have been normalised).

Can anyone advise me what to do in this situation? I don't think it's fair I was given such little notice (7pm the day before isn't appropriate - what if I hadn't got to the phone), and it's a change to my contract? I was never asked by my manager if I was able to work it.

If it were me, and I have been in similar position, if I could do it I would, if not I would apologise and say I couldn't.
