Plastic cups for parties

Hi,
Can somebody give me a bit of guidance? I need plastic glasses for a couple of birthday celebrations we've got coming up this month and i'm in need of a boat load of disposable cups.
The most obvious idea was to simply pop to the supermarket, i got a few bits and bats from Asda but they're sorely lacking in quality! I need disposable plastic cups, but i don't want the squishy and overly flexible kind. Something i could trust a child / drunken adult with preferably!
I've got a huge shopping list, but let's just start with some sort of soft drink glass (open to suggestions on size!), a half pint tumber and a pint tumbler.
I went to a festival this year that used the sort of glass i'm after, but i neglected to take any notes!
Many thanks!

Sainsbury's usually have the more rigid, plastic disposable glasses next to their napkins. The only thing is that this time of year, a lot of stuff has already been sold off in the sale or left in the warehouse because of the Christmas items.0

Thanks, ill take a look. i don't normally shop at sainsburys to be honest! i made the mistake of buying the tesco value plastic pint tumblers expecting them to be usable. unfortunately they were the opposite!
maybe my experience is indicative of cheaper supermarket products. they're sourced at the lowest possible price at the expense of quality. value plastic cups from the supermarket are to be avoided

If you need a lot then google "bar supplies" you can then buy them from a wholesaler that supplies the bar and function trade.0

Thanks, that's a good idea. Do you mean those tough plastic pint tumblers that look like actual glassware?0

Do you live anywhere near a shop called QLM as they sell these kind of glasses.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Yes but you get all shapes and sizes.

I can help with this! I've used these guys a couple of times, they sell loads of plastic cups and beer glasses: http://www.eventsupplies.co.uk/product_listing,5,0,Plastic_Glasses.html.
It's mainly the dessert pots i buy from the site, but i've also had pint glasses and the smaller soft drink cups. Have a look, it sounds like exactly what you're looking for. I think it was the Katerglass that i used before, heaps better than the stuff you can buy from the supermarket.0 -
Thanks radion, that's exactly the sort of thing Im after! i waded through the plastic cups category and found what i was looking for, they're called katerglass tumblers apparently.
the site comes well recommended anyway, got my order the next day - very pleased locality:)
thanks to everyone that contributed.0 -
I'm glad to have helped! I've used Event Supplies for quite a while now, always had good service from them. Have to admit i've not used the plastic pint tumblers before - but at least i know they're good if i require them in the future.
