Lost P60

Hello folks

I'm looking to get a mortgage fairly soon and I really can't think where I've placed my P60.

MD of the small company I work for is on holiday for 3 weeks. Our offices have been flooded so any official copies may have been lost.

What are my options?

Can HMRC provide a document which will satisfy the lender?

Thanks in advance

Don't know if this will help, but when we remortgaged with Nwest in April they weren't interested in P60s, they only wanted to see the last 3 months payslips.

And that was when I was trying to give them P60s that were bang up to date to that month. P60s only prove last years income.

Have they actually asked for P60s or proof of income?

  • Your employer can give you another copy but as above, normally you can use payslips instead

Normally my employer could supply one, but with the flood and my MD being on holiday (he control payroll), I'm not so sure.

I rang the tax office and they will send one out. Up to 14 working days. So, it'll be a race. But at least the ball is rolling.

    Thanks for the suggestions,.

If you have your final payslip from last tax year that'll have the same info on it.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Payslips or a statement of earnings from work should be ok

Work can normally do a letter. I have done so in the past to confirm the salary and how long a person has been with the company etc.
