I rang BW Legal and they were surprsingly helpful - they wanted an immediate settlement of £2500

Or you can pay monthly over 12 months

Or over 36 months

Or over 48 months

say £70 a mth

or £50 a mth

- I offered £30 a month

Split the difference - £40 a mth

- I stuck at £30 a month

we agreed on £30 a month

So thats in place, panic over

I assume I do not need to send 'set off form' now

But thanks you guys for your help - I was shaking there for a couple of hours

You will have agreed that payment in exchange for them withdrawing the SD application. You need that confirmed in writing.

You also need to check with the court that the SD application has been withdrawn. It is not unknown (by accident or design) for creditors to proceed in the face of an agreement to hold or withdraw proceedings.

Lastly - get going on the evidence gathering.
1. A CCA request for each debt. This to Lowells.
2. A SAR to the original creditor.

This might well get you evidence to defend if they don't withdraw or they try again. It might also get you evidence that the inflated amounts are unfair.

Have a good night's kip having sorted it for now. And well done for that.

Yes, I would not be happy unless I had it in writing that the SD was withdrawn.
