!!!!!! and Fanny? I think they probably had the same vernacular meaning when Enid Blyton wrote the books. If they are going to appeal and seem relevant to modern children then I think a bit of tweaking is o.k. If you want to read them in the original then I'm sure you can find them on Amazon or eBay
I'm pleased Fanny has been changed to Frannie as my dd is called Francesca or Frannie, so it will be more exciting for her when we read them together.0 -

I have just received my books and I am very pleased with them. They are just under A4 in size and they are printed on different coloured sheets of paper with illustrations on every other page or more often.
The illustrations are circa 1980, so are a bit retro but I think my little Frannie is going to enjoy them as bedtime stories. I've now got to resist giving them to her and keep them for Christmas.0 -
I just received my books to, Can't believe the quality for £5.01 and the mini book set was a bonus great presents for my niece, the enid blyton books have brilliant illustrations and are hard back so should last along time.0
