Fairy Non Bio Liquid

I'm new to posting on forums but my dissatisfaction with the pricing of Fairy Liquid Non Bio at the major supermarkets in my area has prompted me to comment.
I regularly buy the large (2.25l) fairy non bio liquid (or I did) until my local Sainsbury's and Tesco's stopped stocking it. Sainsbury's seem to have discontinued this line, Tesco's have replaced it with a smaller (1.3l) volume. The large volume was £9.50 (£4.20/l). The new smaller volume is £6.50 (£5/l) in Tesco. That is an increase of £0.80/l which if the large volume was still on sale would make it £11.25.
Call me cynical but I can't help but think that the volume reduction is a sneaky way of putting the price up!
On a more positive note I went to my local Wilkinson today and they are selling the 1.3l volume for £3.87. (I am beginning to conclude that the larger (2.25l) volume is no longer available/produced.) That is £2.98/l, a saving on the Tesco small volume of £2.02/l.
I share this so you can save money buy shopping wisely and also to hopefully send a message to Tesco's and Sainsbury's that they overprice.
