Shelf edge labels

Hi, new to all this :-)

A quick question, when you see a price on a shelf edge label which includes a special offer (say BOGOF), does the SEL show the normal price, or the promotional price?

Thank you

SEL is normally updated to show the promotional price.

Erm, buy one get one free offers are the normal price, just with one more product, errr, free.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

  • Skivenov, yes, of course, but then that makes each one half the price....and when you are trying to compare say 1 x 2l bottle of coke, vs 2 x 8packs of 330ml cans on a bogof it can get tricky!

The SELs usually have the price per 100ml. If the offer is bogof, then just halve the price. TBH I find these costings are often inaccurate and so do the sums myself to check.

As a shorthand 3 x330ml cans = 990ml which is more or less 1L, so I assume every 3 cans = 1L which makes the sums easy.

    It's only a game
