I am due to expect a substantial inheritance (circa £250K) from a deceased relative who lived in in Belgium .... can anyone advise on the tax implications i understand it is below the current UK threshold but am unsure if there are any other costs/taxs which may come in to play

Thank you in advance

There are no tax implications for you, other than paying tax on any interest you may receive when you bank the cash.

BUT - if you are domiciled in Belgium (because your fmily are from there) you should keep the money offshore to save paying tax on the interest).
