ITV Comps - Information on cars and driving license:

I hope ITV won't mind me posting this here verbatim, but it clears up a few questions that have been asked previously.
ITV car competitions usually state that the winner would have to provide proof of a driving license and that the prize is not transferrable. I emailed them to say this is discriminatory to people who cannot legally hold a driving license for medical reasons.
I have had the following reply:
Many thanks for your query.
ITV takes the accessibility of our competitions very seriously and aims to ensure that our competitions are as accessible as possible for all of our viewers.
As stated in section 3.11 of our general competition terms and conditions available at http://www.itv.com/termsandconditions/generalcompetitionvoteandpolltermsandconditions/default.html, we would not require any winner to take up all elements of the prize should they choose not to take up a certain prize element (although we reserve the right to ask the winner to confirm this in writing).
In addition, if our winner were unable to take up the prize of the car (whether due to disability or any other reason), it is our policy, wherever permitted by the prize provider, also to allow the winner to register the car in another person's name subject to that person being able to provide relevant documentation required for registration and delivery of the car. We will try to make sure that this ability to transfer is made clear in future terms and conditions.
Whilst we appreciate that not all of our prizes will appeal to all of our viewers, we endeavour to offer a wide range of prizes across our programmes to try and be as inclusive as we can.
We hope that this answers your query.
Kind regards

Thanks for that, I never know whether to enter the ones where it's a cruise + cash for instance, because the cruise wouldn't appeal. Now I know that just taking the cash is an option I will give them a go.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams
