Not exactly famous but I read somewhere that the woman who designed the Destination! board game that featured on Dragons Den was declared BR last year after failing in the recession but she's now back on track and getting ready for an Olympic version of the game.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

    Hmmm interesting one that,

There is this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6314837.stm from 2007 saying how stupid the dragons were to miss out on it, with lots of comments saying the same (i wonder where those people are now) with the dragons saying that they did not see her as a good business woman.

Then this one http://www.purplepawn.com/2009/06/harry-potter-license-bankrupts-rtl-games/ when it all went to pot, Big lesson for all business people that big sales does not mean big profits.

What grinds with me is the attached BBC Panorama piece http://news.bbc.co.uk/panorama/hi/front_page/newsid_8263000/8263562.stm Where they do there usual thing ( i have never really liked panorama) of making a big stink of saying how it all failed because the banks wouldnt lend her money (not saying the banks are angels either) without actually showing how it went wrong, delving into her accounts and finding how the business had been doing for the last 6 years

With the news that HMRC are voting no to the proposed CVA for Glasgow Rangers (similar to an IVA they need 75% of creditors, and HMRC are more than 25% on their own), the only way for Rangers now is liquidation, so sadly, time to add them to the list.

Does that mean that any earnings he makes from record sales or touring, goes straight to the OR for distribution to creditors?

It is quite the norm for working class people who come in to money to be tricked out of it by commission based financial experts selling mates products.
If only he had realised that if he were a financial genius he would not have had to sing in a band for his supper in the first place.
Should have left it in the bank old lad.

It always amazes me though when celebs go bankrupt they seem to continue to live in the same house, have the same lifestyle etc yet when ordinary people go bankrupt it has a devastating effect on their lives.

Haven't seen the article but guess a couple of deals with newspapers/mags about his life story or some other tosh and he'll be ok.
