mis sold car

hello
i am looking for peoples views and advice re a situation i am current facing and how i should move forward with it.
i bought a new car recently (2 years ago) from a very well known car seller. At the time of purchase the sales man clarified, at my request, several times the cost i would be required to pay at the end of the 2 years if i decided to keep the car. i subsequently signed a contract which stated a figure £2000 higher than this. i did not notice at the time and he did not bring it to my attention.
i have since spoken with him and he has advised the figure he showed me, which i have a copy of, was for the same car but different fuel type. i am quite sure that a car salesman would have known that the figure he was quoting me was for a different type of car (e.g. petrol and not diesel) especially given i gave him plenty of time to notice this (e.g. by asking over and over again if the final figure was correct)? hope this makes sense.
i am left feeling mislead re this purchase and contract.
Do you think i have any options but to pay up or give the car back. please help!!

2 years ago is hardly recent.
You should have read the documents before you signed a contract.
Best just to move on to be honest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

If you have documentary evidence of what he told you then you may be able to complain but otherwise I think the balance of probability will work against you.0
