:T Neosi is getting better :T

Had a good dental appointment helped by a gallon of Rescue Remedy - I was so relaxed I didn't cotton on to the Dentist was using the hook thingy to get the tartar from my teeth :eek::eek: usually I request the electric thingy :o but now I can :D:D

My poor niece's lower jaw is - i think the word is undershot? It's far smaller than her top jaw. She can't chew any food as her teeth don't marry up. She has always eaten noisily & tears her food. She is now of an age (16) to be embarrassed by this.
Now she is 16 the treatment can begin.
Firstly she has to have 8 teeth removed & braces fitted. Next the bottom jaw is broken & then will be stretched other 2 years to match top jaw. Teeth retainers worn all this time to keep her teeth organised.
Then her chin may need an operation ...
But she is excited & pleased :D & has a DVD from the hospital showing the procedure

Oh your poor neice but glad that she is excited about having it done. I dont think I could be that brave.

I was at the dentist as well this morning. I have a real phobia and used to have to have valium just to get me inside the place. But OH found me a place quite near that specialise in people with phobias and I had my 2nd appointment today. The dentist was absolutely lovely ! I could have hugged him. I did not need any medication to get me there and he was just so patient. I had such a bad morning before going that I nearly cancelled but was strong and went. I am even more pleased that I have been going by myself. I used to have OH come with me and hold my hand. What a baby eh?
Anyway so pleased that he said that my teeth are not as bad as I feared, still need a load of work though! :( and I was shaking so much. The thing that has worked for me is listening to my iPod. f I put a loud rock track on it blocks out the noise but I think the real reason it works is because I have control over something. When it hurts or I am scared I change the track and feel like I have some control back. I really wanted to ask them for one of the stickers that the kids get as I was so chuffed with myself for being brave! :rotfl:

So I treated myself to a CD from Poundland. Tom Jones with the track "Try a little tenderness" - made me smile :) and got me thinking. It is amazing the difference someone makes when they act with compassion and empathy and I must remember to do this in everything that I do.

Hugs to everyone that needs them.
    Love the rainbow Magic !
Hope all those that are feeling poorly feel better soon.

Oh sorry I have written a tome again! :(
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

That would make me cry... and not in a nice way either, lokitty .

Great.. I'm not looking forward to my results of 2 shops earlier. I did a list of things we needed, and then I tweaked it to make sure Toscos were cheaper. Will post results up in a bit. It wont make me sad if I don't get good APG's.. as I only bought things I need and will use.

I'm sure you will enjoy your chocs.

Anyway, its the thrill of the chase as well, isn't it?
