    Jumped up little hitler

Tried to reason with him, I was doing nothing wrong just using the DTD vouchers I was issued with but he was having none of it.

I just love n'breda - studenty wee girls and boys amidst chatty middle aged men and women. They want no hassle - if it scans they take it, if it doen't scan they question it for a wee while and then override. There is the odd exception but generally very good.

Aww the little cat sounds gorgeous. Could I just say it might be worth taking her to a vets just to see if she's been chipped. Our cat managed to jump in a car ( we think) and ended up about 15 miles away when he was only just learning to cope with the outside world!! Thankfully someone took him to the vet who phoned me. As for a name; how about Birdie?!

she was definitely a homeless stray and at risk of being put down but big softy that OH is couldn't let that happen :( she has been seen by the Vet to ensure no more kittens, is chipped, vaccinated, wormed etc :)

she is making small steps into the house but is very timid. I recall a nice lady called Kimberly being discussed earlier so maybe that name should be in the running? :rotfl:

Well she's obviously very lucky to have stumbled across you and your family. Kimberley Cat sounds great - will look forward to the piccies :)

I just had a wee ding-dong with a manager in A's.. She seems to think her rules trump A's rules :wall:

Now i can't wait til HO opens for me to call up and complain about the humiliating, inconvenient, etc experience :D

Tempted to go to Tradng Standards too but I'll see if the compo makes up for it first

(thats all your getting until I've gotten off the phone to them ;))

I think you should go to them. Their spokesperson clearly said the following in the DM quote
A spokesman for the store said: 'We are aware of a small glitch in the APG, and are in the process of addressing it.
'A small number of savvy customers have taken advantage and claimed larger than normal vouchers.
'The tweaks we are making will have little or no impact on the vast majority of customers who are using the APG to compare the cost of their weekly shop.'
but by blocking all comparisons on 3 for 2's and BOGOF etc they are having a direct impact on the not so savvy vast majority of customers who will most definitely not be getting their shop 10% cheaper if they have bought anything that should be on comparable multibuys in their shop. so how much are Mr A actually gaining by doing this?

Seen this posted on my FB earlier and thought I would copy it over here, it's probably been on here before but it's a goodie :)

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

    I love this

I think that i have seen it on here before but everytime i read it i think that is so true :)
