I think you narrowly avoided one of trouty's 'special' smilies there

Well, my house smells like pineapple. Ive had a bit of a cooking day. Made a huge Chilli con carne for tea, but I made it this morning, (two young kids, if i leave cooking till later on in the day it just doesnt get done!)
I had to use two pans. 700g mince, 2 cans 5beanz and 2 cans kidney beans, lots of chilli's, peppers, grated carrot etc. All the usual.

Well, I had enough in the end, for dinner tonight, Im making extra rice tonight to mix with the leftover chilli for stuffed peppers tommorow, 1/2 pint of extra chilli sauce i skimmed off the top because it was too saucy, which will go over the stuffed peppers tomorrow to bake, AND 3 MORE chilli meals for the freezer, and they are meals for 4!

I think thats the furthest ive ever been able to stretch a pack of mince without adding lentils, lol!

Then I had a pack of salami to use up in the fridge, so made a pizza with the kids, salami, leftover gammon from freezer, pineapple and whoopsied mushrooms, cheese from glitch.

Then because id opened the pineapple can for the pizza, i went and made a pineapple upsidedown cake for after tea tonight, which is why I think my house smells like pineapple! :rotfl:

THEN....i STILL have pineapple and gammon leftover from the pizza at lunch. So ive found a recipie for ham and pineapple fried rice which i will be making for lunch tomorrow.

Oh and half the pizza we made has also gone in the freezer, after feeding 4 of us and OH for tomorrows lunch. That thing was HUGE!

    Im slightly tired.......

I have been doing a bit of cooking as well. Did some veggie soup for tonight with bits of left over odds & ends a la JJ.:T

Then also made a pizza for todays/tomorrows lunch.:T:T

Then shoved a piece of pork in the oven for main tonight.:T:T

OH just came home and I said to him in a Stepford wifish sort of way 'do you like the smell' expecting him to be delighted that I was feeling better and up to cooking.

He said why - has the dog had the trumps again.:eek::eek::eek:

    Why do I even bother:mad::mad:

No thanks 1) I have enough and 2) £2.99 for a little piece of wet blotting paper - Seriously?

Unless of course using them would magicly turn me into a supermodel:D

  • In shock. Walked half hour to lady giving away the printer as scanner broke, she then announced she had fixed it and refilled the cartridges for me and that it should be 'sufficient for my needs' (I only want one for printing coupons lol) as it was over £200 on play.com a few months ago and is a therefore immaculate. She then drove me home. I am now the owner of the most badass printer I have ever seen. Totally in shock, woman was so nice, she hadn't unpacked her new one yet, it was sitting on the kitchen side!

wow some people are very kind aren't they a nice gesture would be to make a thank you card and post it to her im sure shes love that (if you was thinking of something)

    Without sounding stupid:o
How do you make pizza? MY Ds would love to do it himself but when we last tried we bought the packs of bases and they tasted rubbish?

Do you make the base yourself ? And if so is it easy? Any recipes - for plain cheese and tomato pls:)
  • Kleenex Cleansing shared British Vogue's photo.

We love this stunning photo of supermodel Jourdan Dunn - she's really working the natural look!

Now, we can't promise our Shine Absorbing Sheets will get you skin like Jourdan's, but they WILL keep you matte and oil-free throughout the day! Good enough? ;)

Is Jourdan Dunn the next Mary Berry the cook? She's set to launch a new cookery show: http://!!!!!!!/T4pndh

  • Had an email off cash4phones about their crappy offer

    Dear Call of Trouty,

With regards to your enquiry, apologies that you are unhappy with the grading of your phone.

Our engineers grade many handsets daily and human error is sometimes unavoidable.

I will have a second look to your handset myself, test it again and will get back to you as soon as this has been done.

    They're full of it full-of-crap.gif

The Kingsmill was 2 for £2 in A

The barbecue chicken was 2 for £5 in A

and the juices were 4 for £3

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this another example of the multibuy not showing up on the APG. Surely this means that we don't have to stick to buying 1 of each flavour, it "suggests" that it really doesn't matter.
