    Question, has anyone flown ryanair recently?

    Were away next week and have no booked any hold luggage so just 4 hand luggage. Just read when printing passes that it's only 10kg:eek::eek:

    Do they check?

    May have to add 1 bag in hold on but that's 50 euros:eek:

    Yes they do check and are very strict with it too.. No bulging cabin cases and your hand bags and duty free purchases etc must fit in your cabin case... These are checked for size in a cage frame just before you board and weighed. I fly with them maybe 3 times a year. Hth

    So Locarr it looks like we have to buy one of these to get the free 30 points- right? A small pack of tissues won't do it?

    Andrex® 9 roll Classic White, 9 roll Natural Pebble, 9 roll Puppies on a Roll, 9 roll Touch of Luxury, 9 roll Skin Kind, 9 roll Gorgeous Comfort, 4 roll Gorgeous Comfort, 12 roll Gorgeous Comfort or 18 roll Classic White

    well it said any kleenex product. no kleenex products are listed..

    We'll find out tomorrow :)
  • Do they check? They will take every cent you own.

    Damn :eek::eek:

    But if you check in online so just go to your gate , where do they weigh them?

    That one could be fun if it spits a new till split out everytime lol

    Also in the final week it says buy any Andrex or Kleenex - does this also mean the 55 p single packs??? If so, a good use for the forthcoming free vouchers

    Not recently. But one piece of hand luggage is exactly that - not even a handbag is allowed as that is classed as 2. Never actually had hand luggage weighed but I always travel light. My bag to Madagascar only weighed 7kg and that included a pair of boots :eek::D
    Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    I fly with them frequently from Newcastle and Dublin. Very rarely do they check the weight but they often use the baggage gauge to check the size. Wear as many layers as possible and put heavy items in your pockets..they do tend to insist that you only have 1 bag so hand bags / cameras etc all need to go in the one bag. HTH
    If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly! ;)

    They haven't ever weighed my cabin bags but obviously check dimensions in their frame. I always take a luggage scale, but with the size of the carry on luggage it's unlikely you could excessively exceed 10kgs.

    Pass perhaps somebody else could answer this but I know my neighbours complained that they got completely ripped off on hand luggage. Do they have a weighing machine at boarding?
