I wrote this on the last thread:

    Dear Mr Tesco,

I write to you from the World Famous 11+ thread off of MoneySavingExpert.com (That Martin Lewis chaps website).

We have recently liberated thousands and thousands of pounds worth of merchandise at knockdown prices from one of your rival competitors, Mr Asda. They are literally letting us walk out of the shop after paying for shopping with little computer printouts, and then using the receipts we get to print more. It is just like printing Asda Pounds off your computer.

Anyway, as we are World Famous, the pesky press have been writing stories on us, and have had a little chat to Mr Asda about the whole thing.

Mr Asda says we are "A really savvy bunch of shoppers" and the fact we have generated over 2 million views regarding this is "a PR coup".

At the 11+ we are a caring sharing bunch, and don't like it when just one company gets to receive the benefits of our attention, so I am writing to you wondering if you would also like to take part in our "PR coup".

At this moment in time we would be greatful if you could arrange glitches on the following items:

Clothing, especially umbrellas and winter coats, hats gloves etc. But we are OK for mens socks ;)
Toys (for the kids, christmas is coming),
Dishwasher tablets (ours are lovely and clean already, just need something to clean the dishes),
Laundry detergent, (cos we like clean clothes)
Shower gels/soap etc (we have lovely clean hair, but the rest of us needs to be clean too),
Beer, wine, spirits etc (for christmas and any day with a "y" in it)
    Chocolate (no explaination needed)
    Christmas gifts (again, self explanitory).

Whilst we do not wish to appear greedy, if you could arrange for any/all of the above, as well as any other items that you think we would appreciate, then we would make sure that Mr Asda is not alone in the "PR coup" that we have created,

    Kind Regards,

    The 11+.

All I can say to Mr.T, is - Thank You for listening!

    Love it :) :rotfl:

You have till late Tuesday :D

Updated post to explain both ways for anyone catching up

I am quite chuffed as I needed coffee and some breakfast bits, so everything else was a bonus

You appear to be promoting coupon misuse with your "wrong" way...I'd remove it before MSE do!:D

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Right my darling boffins see if someone can do something with this.

I bought 12 cans of baxters soup 98p each or 3 for £2. Total cost £8.

compared only 10 as 10 item limit. at £9.80 (98p per can)Asd and 7.96 at Tesc, which meant no discount applied .

Question is now would this apply to other things on offer if you take them over ten things ??

Interesting ...... goes off to ponder

It was me who posted about this earlier this morning....

I agree in the sense that the stores should program the tills etc properly so that this doesnt happen....but I dont agree with taking it to extreme levels...bending the rules is one thing, breaking them another.

My point was that people are being trouted over the use of mocs (not just these ones, but any mocs)...why make things harder for us, by buying the wrong product, or even no product at all?

Taking advantage of a glitch is one thing...but we're all aware that ts could pull all mocs if they wanted to if they believed they were being misused.

A's tills are programmed to accept any moc...even if you didnt buy the product....it relies on the SA to verify that the product was purchased. But we're not all going to be running in there with our £2 loreal mocs to buy a tub of icecream are we? So why abuse the system at T?

Comparing this to the As glitch - imo, the glitch was great, and yes I joined in....there were thousands of us nationwide doing it, and As were aware -they could have pulled the plug on APG, but they didnt - but they have tightened their T&Cs about it (maybe temporary, but who knows!)....but if other glitches with APG came along, they may well decide to scrap it.

Ts have already changed their moc policy a few times to combat 'misuse'....so how long before they stop altogether?
I just think in light of how many troutings over mocs there have been, and with Uncle Phil talking of weaning people of mocs, it wouldnt be too difficult for Ts to pull the plug on mocs. I for one would be very disappointed if this happened as I use a lot of mocs for a lot of my shopping!

Its only my opinion, and I'm not judging anyone for bending or even breaking the rules - but I dont think its right to promote breaking the T&Cs on an open forum. And I hope the people that do misuse this dont complain when trouted or when mocs are pulled altogether :(

    Well said again, Loob!!:T:T

Its the same people tearing the azz out of it that then come back on here bemoaning about their "trouting" and there is usually just one person to blame for this and it staring right at them in the mirror!!;)
