Wombled a dog on my way home from work this morning
It followed me when i had crossed main road.
When i got in a safe spot away from main road i called it to me and it came had collar on and address.was a scruffy thin wet looking thing.
Phoned number and owner answered dog had been missing think she said 4 days was in hysterics it had travelled from near Halifax she asked if i could hold onto Noodles til she got dressed and down. :j
She picked it up 20 mins ago i had fed and given him a drink and had him locked in kitchen. He was good sat there shivering all time. My Poppy wasnt very happy didnt let them meet.
Got offered a fiver but i refused was just happy Noodles found his mummy. Poor woman looked like she had been crying on way down and Noodles nearly jumped in her arms wagging his tail. :T :j
Ahh how lovely. What a lovely story to start the day :TJust had the worst trouting ever ,
Son rang (works for sada) early this morning to say lots of new stock of £1.24 beer and that BWS manager had put cases out back for staff , plus there was plenty on shelf for customers . He had checked price and sell was correct at £1.24 . So off I go and collect said beer in store , did another check on sel . and took my 15 packs through checkout. Sa rang them through at £4.78  , hang on said I , sel says £1.24 , sa gets sv , (only one I don't like) SV goes and checks come back and overides the till so I get them for £1.24.
Goes to leave store and was stopped by security  please come with me . I quickly think omg have I absently not paid for something . But no , they want my beer back , they could not possibly let me have it for that price , they want it back . I said sorry its mine I paid for it , if you did not want me to have it you shouldn't have sold it to me . I was there for ages and they kept insisting that they were go to take it back , DS then arrived having finished his shift and wanting a lift home and they had a go at him and said no he could't have it .He said to fetch bws manager who gave it to him , then I got worried that he was going to get into trouble and lose his job . No manager to be found , but I remained pleasent all the time and said if they took it from me they would be stealing from me . I said if they really wanted it that bad to take it but I would be on the phone to HO as soon as I got home and repeated if the SV had told me at the till I couldn't have it , I would have been sad , but would have accepted it , but instead they took my money so it was mine .They let me have it in the end , but I must admit I was close to tears . If my son had not been involved I would have called the police for theft if they took it .
Sorry for the rant , but better out than in .:)
How some people can act like this is completely beyond me. How rude! Well done for standing your ground though and i hope your son doesn't get any stick for it.Life is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
Finally caught up, doing everything back to front this morning.
Good morning everyone.
Off to do few jobs now, will catch up with you all later. Shame if price of Carling has gone up I only managed to get one pack and Mr Ts preferred it to the Bavaria, I wonder why.0 -

Unfortunately it does not, they were £1.50 at S's last week and worked out at 50p for the 4 pack with the £1 coupon, but if you have the Bavaria shandy £1 coupon from the T's booklet them A has them at £1.50 so they work at 50p for the 6 can pack!:beer:0 -

Just found Ariel stain remover spray at £1.50 - have a coupon for £1, also lenor fabric conditioners at £1.50 - checked them both for comparisons against asda/sainsbobs but no go.
Ariel excel gel however is £4.08 T's and £4 asda, not a huge jtd but you could chuck some in with your Reloaded for a smidge more. Using coupon £3 for 25 washes.
Are you using the car coupons?
as there are a couple of others in the last T's mag with Ariel stain remover spray moc for £1.50, so you get 50p off the rest of you shop if you use 2...
same with lenor £1 car moc and £1 mag moc again free lenor with 50p off the rest of you shop
same with the Ariel excel gel £1 car moc and £1 mag moc = big bottle Ariel excel for £2.08"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Well that's my little coupon shop done and receipt input to the Porkie website. Had a lovely young guy on the tills, couldn't have been more helpful, even asked if I was sure that was all my vouchers and I hadn't missed any :rotfl: Wish they were all like that!
While he was putting my stuff through and I was packing DD starts shouting mummy, mummy loooook, loooook. Couldn't work out what she was getting so excited about, but then she shouts SEAT...Took me a moment to realise she had clocked the reciept printing out as my stuff went through:rotfl: :rotfl: What have I done to this poor child?! It was her who picked up the 2 wombles as well
