I threw one away the other day because it sprung a leak. I have never seen a mug do anything like it but it develpoed a small 2mm perfectly round hole a couple of inches from the bottom.

I was so disappointed - I think I've thrown away 3 or 4 of them. They are made by Churchill but there must be an issue with the glaze or something. I now buy Matalan mugs for £1 - same big size (can fit a can of soup in) and so far no problems.

Thank you, I've been waiting for these to come back down in price! My last one cracked across the bottom after a few months,when I put hot water in, yet my mums identical mug has been used and abused for a year with no faults, so I'm going to give them one last try.......

I've found these mugs to be a bit iffy. My daughter gave me one which started to leak. I replaced it with the same design and the handle started to come away. I still have this one - it's on my windowsill with a plant in it

several of the reviews for the mugs are a bit worrying so i think i'll give this offer a miss. i tend to buy my mugs from TK Maxx or B&M, who had some lovely china disney ones for only £2 recently.
