Halfords 3 for 2...

For any of the DIYers out there, I know how expensive decent bike oil can be, but be quick and get 3 for 2 at the moment at Halfords.
I realise that coughing up £50 to £60 isn't easy but invest now and get your next three oil changes sorted.
Be aware it might not show on the fixture but will at the checkout!

Thanks for that I bought the car oil yesturday - may try and swap it now - the guy told me that the motorcycle oil wasn't on promotion just the car oil had 25% off. He said they're the same stuff but at 3 for 2 that is better than 25% off - and definately the right oil. Now can I find the receipt!

halfords have loads of 2 for one deals.Posted it here a few days ago and it was shifted to shop till you drop ! Any wy there are lost of offers like this in the store
e.g . Washing stuff inc pressure washers, bike inner tubes etc

CAR OIL IS NOT THE SAME AS BIKE OIL!!
If the guy in Halfords genuinely told you that, then take the bottle back, and slap him round the head with it. Hit him HARD! And then tell him you have knackered your clutch, and suffered excessive wear to your gearbox, and ask them to stump up the repair costs!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Indeed he did - but I had read it on here first - which is why I thought it might be the case - I knew that the cheap stuff wasn't but having read it here I thought I'd try it.

Anyway - halfords were only too happy to swap said oil for 3 motorcycle oils (which work out cheaper anyway!) Thanks for that post. I have two bikes so I'll go through the oil quick enough - indeed I'm contemplating trying another halfords and grabbing another 3.

For those who don't realise - halfords motorcycle oils is particularly good cos you get 5 litres instead of the regular 4, so if when your oil needs topping up you have sufficient left overs.

Also thought I'd mention that Hein Gerick offer a free oil filter with purchase of their oil (I believe - read it here somewhere before) and it costs only about £25 so if you have an expensive filter it may just work out cheaper from Gerick.

HG give a free oil and air filter with their oil.
In my case he filter alone costs more at a dealer than the HG deal.
