How long for offer to come through?

Goodness that is such a long time. We are getting hounded a bit by our buyers as they are being chased by their buyers - and I can't tell them anything or give any progress!!
Working on the timeframes above I still won't hear for 3 weeks?! Our survey was done the day after the full application went in though so I hope that was a positive thing. It's a full month now - the application went in on 6th and survey was done on 7th.

Just to add I am still awaiting my offer.
Applied 20th August,
Credit Check and arrangement fee taken 5th September,
Valuation completed 10th September and employer references requested.
Took an age to hear back...turned out the valuation was 10k below my offered price, so a week of renegotiation...it was close to collapse. Re-agreed 27th September.
Mortgage broker finally sent request in on the 2nd October.

We just got a text to say our offer has been issued!! So excited! Hopefully the backlog is clearing and everyone else will get theirs quickly!0
