Hi
I have 12 ten year olds coming round for a halloween party the night before halloween.
I am planning on doing pumpkin carving, apple bobbing and mummy wrapping (wrapping up in toilet roll).
Any other ideas to keep them amused would be fab please?
Thanks

Pinata - I got a ghost one in Asda last year
I made up a game where the kids had to be brave enough to put their hand into a box and guess what was inside - had things like cooked spaghetti - rats guts, tomato ketchup - vampire blood, a chicken bone (from Sundays roast!) - etc
Apple bobbing
I did a treasure hunt inside a plastic tub full of gross stuff - I made up some cornflour gloup colored with green food coloring. Kids had to search around in it with one hand to find a penny - to win a prize
I also did a pass the parcel and bought a cd of spooky music to play as parcel was passed.
Have fun!!!0 -

Make a huge jelly. Make it in layers. In each layer place a few sweets / goodies. On the night the kids have to eat their way through to the goodies, no hands allowed. It went down a storm at our party.Pants0

You could play What am I? Have a set of post it notes with different characters written on them, ghost, bat, witch, vampire, warewolf, devil, wizard, headless horseman, zombie, skeleton etc.
Each kid takes it in turns to stand up in front of the other kids and ask maybe 5 or 10 questions about the post it which is stuck to their own forehead. They can only receive a yes or no answer.
E.g am I a female? Am i an animal? Can I fly etc....
They only get to guess their character once and if they're right they win a sweet from the cauldron of doom...If they are wrong they could have a forfeit...maybe to pull a dare out of the caldron of gloom..and these could be silly tasks such as cluck like a chicken while doing a dance, rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time...I guess if they're prepared to do it they could then also win a sweet from the doom cauldron..
You can either make your own from a couple of boxes or buy the plastic ones they sell in supermarkets at this time of year.<('@')> Oink0
