Quick credit search question......

When you have a credit search recorded against your name/file what details does it contain? and what information about that search is available to another company that searches your file?

Thanks.

From memory, the type of institution, ie bank, finance house etc, the type of product, and whether it was sole or joint. Can't think if it shows anything else but I'm on maternity leave and my brain is a bit rusty.

As I had hoped! Nothing too specific, I have just applied for a loan (and been accepted) that I no longer need! I suspect the detail of how much the loan was and payment history would have come later once an account was opened.
