Advice needed for notice period

Hi

Can anybody please advice me. I'm planning to resign and give a month's notice. I have about 2 weeks leave left. Can they force me to take leave as part of my notice period? If not do they have to pay me out for my 2 weeks leave? Can they put me on garden leave and also tell me to take my leave as part of my notice period?

Only proviso to Uncertains answer is that you have worked enough time to be owed the 2 weeks holiday before your notice is completed, depending on when your leave year starts.

Who knows!

You would almost certainly be in breach of contract with both jobs. It maybe neither would care but either could get nasty if they wish.

When on garden leave you are still employed and could be called back into the office at any point. It is different to getting PILON (pay in lieu of notice) where your employment has ended and you are a free agent.
