Has anyone had defaults removed ?

Hi
I have read on the C.A.G website about removing defaults from your credit file. They do a template letter which basically says you do not continue to consent to your information being shared after a default has been payed off.
I just wondered if any body had actually managed to do this and have it removed.

Hi Mish, I paid off a default account a couple of weeks ago and was assured that the default would be removed and my file revised. Less than a week later it was no longer showing as a default. I would make contact with the company and inform them to update their/your record as it is still showing as. I would also forward on a notice of correction to the credit search agency informing them and future searchers that the account in question is settled.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0
